• Writing Prompt: Write about a time you felt like you belonged, or about good memories of a special person. Minimum: 2/3 page. 
• Read: chapter 8, Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief.

• What is Memoir? Class discussion. 
• Review journal entries returned to students; determine which piece will be the launching point for writer's workshop.
